Why should I buy this now?

The EU AI Act came into force last year. The implementation stages are phased and the newest elements that you need to be compliant with are coming in August 2025.

Many of the laws relating to AI cover privacy and are in force and require compliance now.

Coming soon are changes relating to transparency, which will require you to tell users when they are interacting with an AI system.

💖 Who is the AI Legal Toolkit for?

The AI Legal Toolkit is designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners who are using AI tools in their business, whether that’s to write content, analyse data, automate admin, or create digital assets. If you’re using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Fathom AI, or any AI-powered software, this is for you. 

💖 Do I get AI prompts included too?

The AI Legal Toolkit includes:

• Short videos on the legal and business considerations for using AI
• An AI policy template

It doesn’t include any prompts for using AI tools or recommendations as to which tools to use in your business.

💖 Will this be relevant for me if I'm not very tech savvy and haven't used AI much yet?

Yes. The toolkit is designed to be used by people with no knowledge of the legal implications of using AI and also no experience of using AI tools. The toolkit doesn't teach you how to use AI tools, but instead highlights the considerations you need to make before using them.

If you’re just using AI to write blog posts or generate ideas, there are still legal risks. You need to understand how copyright works with AI, when you might accidentally infringe someone else’s IP, and whether you can legally claim ownership of the content generated. The toolkit covers all of this in plain English. 

💖 Is this just for UK based businesses?

The toolkit is based on UK law, including GDPR, copyright law, and consumer protection rules. However, if you're based in the EU or servicing EU clients, most of the guidance still applies, particularly around data protection and transparency.

If you're outside the UK/EU, we're working on something for you which we hope to be ready by the end of July. Meanwhile, the legal frameworks may differ, but the principles will still help you think critically about AI risk which is the key aim of the toolkit. 

💖 Is there an option to ask questions?

No. The toolkit doesn't come with any live support but you can ask us any questions before purchasing to check suitability. Or if you have legal questions and want to discuss legally complying with AI you can join the Get Legit Hub and ask questions at the weekly Q&A sessions.
