The Data Use Access Act 2025 (the DUAA) has created the biggest overhaul of data protection legislation since the GDPR was introduced in 2018.
The DUAA was given Royal Assent on 19th June 2025. Whilst the majority of the changes came into force in February 2026, the final set of changes take effect on 19 June 2026.
The deadline for implementation is 19 June 2026.

How to use the privacy NOTICE
Simple steps to customise and use your templates.

The product includes a template Privacy Notice which you can review and amend to include your own business details, before publishing on your website or providing directly to customers and clients whose personal data you collect and process in delivering your services or products.
Before using the template you will need to edit them for your business.
The template has square brackets and highlights where you need to enter your company information or chose an option e.g. to include or delete if these do not apply to your business, these sections have been highlighted for ease of use. By the time your template is ready to upload to use there should be no square brackets and no highlighted sections remaining.
You should start by reading the ‘Drafting Notes’ which are included... not only will these help you to consider how to best protect your business but they also highlight some of the key elements and specific wording which reflect statutory requirements.
It is anticipated that it will take you no more that 30 minutes to review and finalise your template for use within your business.
