Can one simple idea create 25% more revenue?

Aug 05, 2025

If you run an online business, you know the pressure of wondering where your next payment is coming from. That constant chase for clients and sales can be exhausting, which is why monthly recurring revenue (MRR) is such a game-changer.

Earlier this year I set myself a challenge, to add 25% more recurring revenue to my business, using only the products and services I already offer. And the best part? I’d love for you to join me on this journey and set your own recurring revenue goal too.

Why Recurring Revenue Matters for Online Entrepreneurs

Recurring revenue isn’t just about making more money, it’s about building predictability and stability into your business. When you know that a certain amount of money is coming in every month, you can:

  • Stop stressing about where your next client will come from

  • Plan ahead with confidence

  • Free up time to innovate and grow your business (or do other fun things, head to my Instagram Stories to see BTS of me growing vegetables on my roof garden)
  • Avoid burnout from constantly chasing one-off sales

As someone who runs a legal template shop, online membership, and courses for entrepreneurs, I know how valuable reliable income can be not just for peace of mind but for long-term growth.

The Challenge I’ve Set for Myself

With some big changes made to my business at the beginning of the year (mainly stepping back from certain 1:1 legal services to create a better work-life balance), I’ve opened up space to focus on scaling my recurring revenue streams.

Here’s the challenge:

  • I want to increase my MRR by 20–25% over the next few months

  • I’m doing it without launching anything new from scratch

  • I’m focusing on maximizing and improving what I already sell

For example, if my business currently generates £10,000/month in recurring revenue, my goal is to add an extra £2,000–£2,500/month by working smarter, not harder. (I rarely share the exact figures in my business because I don’t think that feels motivating for everyone. As much as possible I try and share percentages because it’s going to feel much more achievable).

And I’d love you to think about what this could look like in your business too.

How You Can Join the Challenge

If you’d like to build more predictable, recurring income in your own business, here’s how to get started:

1️⃣ Set a Clear Goal

Decide how much additional recurring revenue you want to generate. Be specific, whether it’s an extra £100, £500, or more, having a number in mind gives you direction.

2️⃣ Leverage What You Already Sell

Before creating new products or services, look at what’s already working for you. Could you:

  • Turn a one-off service into a subscription?

  • Upsell clients into a membership or retainer?

  • Offer templates, toolkits, or other “done-for-you” resources on repeat?

3️⃣ Make It Easy for People to Buy

Recurring revenue thrives on convenience. Simplify your offers, make them accessible, and ensure your audience understands the ongoing value of what you provide.

Why This Matters for Every Entrepreneur

Building recurring revenue can truly be life-changing. Instead of starting from zero every month, you can create a foundation of predictable, reliable income which frees up your time and energy to focus on growth, strategy, and doing what you love.

I’ve been sharing my progress, wins, and lessons learned as I take on this challenge over on YouTube. And if you want to join me, set your own goal, and start building sustainable income streams, I’d love you to follow me there.
